Start with THW Wiki

Login with your m or s number and the corresponding UT password. If it doesn't work the reason could be that you are not yet it the corresponding UT mailing list (CTW-THW Members (Plus) or CTW-THW-Students).

General structure of the wiki

At the left of your window is the navigation bar where you find the most important topics and a link back to the start page. The wiki is separated in mainly three different blocks:

  • Technical information
  • Social information
  • Information about the wiki

But it is up to you to fill it with more interesting topics.

Wiki syntax

If you do not know how a wiki works and you want to test some things, then learn to make your first steps on the playground. It's meant for this purpose. The information about the syntax can be found here. Before you start working in the “real” wiki, make sure you understood how the sub folder (namespaces) structure works, otherwise you will mess up the wiki structure ;-).

Remark

Some important remarks on the wiki:

  • If you see things that could be better, either implement them yourself that's the idea of a wiki or come to me if you don’t have the rights to do it.
  • Files are limited to 2MB, in most cases the should be enough, as the idea is to place the information directly in the wiki such that other can also edit it. Bigger files can be uploaded if necessary just ask me.

Now it’s your turn

Now that you know how to use the wiki it's up to you to fill it with information related to the group. In any case fill in the following things: If you are a student fill in your personal information here and if you are a stuff member add which software you are using or what kind of experimental setup you are working on.

What do you think is missing?

If you think the wiki misses an important feature, just implement it!
